Council Co-Chair re-Appointed

The Public Health Network is pleased to announce that Dr. Perry Kendall has agreed to serve an additional two-year term as Provincial Co-Chair of the Network’s Council.


Changes in Council Membership

The Public Health Network Council is pleased to welcome two new Council members:

  • Dr. David Williams, Associate Chief Medical Officer of Health and Acting Chief Medical Officer of Health for Ontario, joined Network Council in Fall 2007. Dr. Williams replaces Dr. George Pasut.
  • Mr. Rick Trimp, Executive Director of the Population Health Branch at Saskatchewan Health is the new Council member for Saskatchewan. Mr. Trimp replaced Dr. Ross Findlater, an original Council member for the Network, in Spring 2008. 

We thank Dr. Pasut and Dr. Findlater for their contributions to Public Health Network Council.


PHN at the Canadian Public Health Association’s 2008 Annual Conference, Halifax, Nova Scotia, June 1-4th

Please stop by our exhibit booth and plan to attend the pre-conference session on the Public Health Network: Sunday, June 1, 2008, from 0800- 1200 in Suite 302 of the Halifax World Trade and Convention Centre. The Public Health Network is pleased to welcome the following new members to Council:

Note: Currently, the Province of Manitoba is undergoing the selection process to name a permanent representative to Council of the Public Health Network. In the interim, Manitoba remains an active participant in Council meetings and activities. Once a selection has been made, an announcement will be made on this website.
